Brilliant pale yellow color.

The nose opens with delicate notes of fruits and white flowers. After swirling, the nose reveals a complex bouquet with nuances of anise, pears and lime blossom mixed with a light oaky note.

Good density, the wine is slightly salty and well supported by its structure. A harmonious wine where the freshness and complexity of the Sauvignon blend is complemented by the smoothness of the Sémillon and Muscadelle. The finish is marked by biscuity notes and by the minerality characteristic of KALIAN’s terroir.

Soil type: hillside clay-limestone soil (Monbazillac plateau)

WINEMAKING

Manual harvest for the Sémillon and Muscadelle grapes; mechanical harvest for the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety (harvest dates based on grape variety)
Average yield of 45 hl/ha
48 hours skin contact maceration for the Sauvignon Blanc variety; direct whole-cluster pressing for the Sémillon and Muscadelle varieties.
Alcoholic fermentation & aging 100% in French oak barrels (34% new barrels, 33% 1-year-old barrels and 33% 2-year-old barrels)
Bottling in September 2023
Total Sulfur Dioxide (sulfites): 64 mg/l (Organic limit: 150 mg/l)
Cellaring: enjoy now until 2032
